Geography Awareness Week 2019
Join us in the celebration of national Geography Awareness Week! It came about in 1987 after Congress recognized the importance of geographic knowledge in an increasingly interdependent world. The week allows our department to remind the Hunter community of the role that geography and environment have played in all parts of our lives and, especially, in the era of climate emergency when new imaginations and policies based on scientific knowledge are urgently needed. Learn with us how this knowledge can be incorporated into many fields of study and careers ahead of you.
