Black Rock Forest Field Trip
October 15-16, 2016

Join the Departments of Computer Science and Geography, and the School of Education for a weekend field trip to Black Rock Forest in Cornwall NY. This field experience about environmental measurements is open to Noyce Scholars and any Hunter College students. During the trip we will receive a green building tour, hike, program and use Raspberry Pi hardware to retrieve data, conduct tree measurements, and visit the forest's stream gauging station and weather station. The deadline to sign up is 3 PM, Friday September 30th. More information can be found here.

This trip has received significant funding from President Raab's initiative to increase student engagement and co-curricular activity and dramatically reduces the cost to students to $15 per person and includes transportation, lodging and food.
