Vote for NYC Cool Roof MapClimate Change

Check out NYC Cool Roofs MapClimate Change. This map displays the relative amount of solar radiation absorbed by surfaces in New York City, and identifies which buildings would benefit most from a cool-roof coating. This map was developed by students as a class project for GTECH 733 (GIS: Modeling and Problem Solving) taught Spring 2013 by Professors Sean Ahearn and Gordon Green, and it has been chosen as one of four finalists in the Robert Raskin Mashup Mapping Competition sponsored by the AAG Cyberinfrastructure Specialty Group. The public is allowed to vote for their favorite, from March 24 to April 4, 2014 so please take a moment and cast your vote for NYC Cool Roofs MapClimate Change at http://mappingideas.sdsu.edu/mashup/Voting/vote.html .
