Graduate student Lerone Savage recipient of $25,000 AITE Scholarship

Lerone Savage, BA in Geography, has been awarded a $25,000 Advanced Institute for Transportation Education Scholarship from University Transportation Research Center II. The UTRC AITE scholarship program is designed to increase the knowledge and capabilities of transportation professionals by supporting the pursuit of a master’s degree in transportation-related fields. As a new masters student in Geography at Hunter College, he will conduct transportation-related graduate research under the guidance of Prof. Hongmian Gong. Mr. Savage, a spring 2014 magna cum laude graduate of Hunter College, also received departmental Honors, is a member of Gamma Theta Upsilon, an international honor society in geography, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society for the liberal arts and sciences.
