Bio: Bala Aboki was born in Nigeria. The son of a diplomat – Bala has lived in Argentina, Brazil, Kenya, Germany and the United States. He went to college at Ahmadu Bellow University in Nigeria and attended graduate school at Hunter College, where he earned a Master degree in Geography. Bala currently works as a  GIS analyst at CDM Smith – a full service Engineering and Construction firm, where he has the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. His current work portfolio focuses on disaster recovery projects—including Hurricane Sandy relief.  He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.
