Lerone Savage recipient of the USDOT Student of the Year Award

Mr. Lerone Savage, a Hunter College MA student in the Department of Geography, has been selected to receive the U.S. Department of Transportation Student of the Year award from University Transportation Research Center (UTRC). Mr. Savage is finishing his transportation-related Master's thesis and was nominated by Professor Hongmian Gong for the award.  Mr. Savage will be given this award at the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC) dinner on Saturday evening, January 7, 2017, prior to the start of the TRB annual meeting, January 8 -13.  His travel, lodging, and registration to the TRB annual meeting will be reimbursed.  In addition, Mr. Savage will receive a $1,000 stipend from UTRC.
