Hunter Student Spotlight

Congratulations to Peter Manos, undergraduate student major in Environmental Studies, who will be attending the University of Rhode Island and working towards a master's in biology and environmental science through the ecology and ecosystem science specialization. He is excited to work in Professor Shelby Rinehart's ecosystem ecology lab at URI, where he will research soil carbon cycling in temperate forests. His time at Hunter helped develop his interests in environmental science and ecology, thanks to courses in the Geography and Environmental Science department, stewardship opportunities with the Greenbelt Society, and research work in Professor Reinmann's lab. It would not be possible for him to take this next step without the strong foundation the environmental studies program provided!
