Dr. Brenda Vollman is trained in social sciences, including gender and race studies, sociology and criminology. Her expertise on this project is linked to her applied experience in social scientific instrument development, sampling and data analysis.
Dr. Vollman’s academic training in identifying relevant social and demographic variables in exploration of social phenomena related to victims of crime as well as factors influencing academic success of community college students.
She has long-running experience in social scientific survey development as well as statistical data analysis of individual (demographic, behavioral and perception) variables, as well as structural variables. Additionally, Dr. Vollman has served as coordinator of two multi-year, multi-million dollar grants through the Research Foundation (2008 – 2010) and 2015 - present Title V)
