Midterm Exam III
Date: November 25, classroom, 2:10 – 3:25 pm.
Material for the exam includes the second half of Chapter 7 (7.12
– 7.17), Chapter 8 and 9 (through section 9.15 – included!). Note: the class was asked to read in
detail Section 8.19 through the end of Chapter 8 – all about the Atlantic
hurricane season of 2005. Questions will
be asked about this assigned reading.

Final Exam
Announcement: I will be available in the classroom on Friday
12 (Reading Day – No Regular Classes at Hunter) for discussions, review,
and to answer questions. I will be there
for the regular class time. NOTE: Please
arrive on time if you plan to attend, I will leave by 2:30 if nobody shows up
by then.

choice questions.
Exam covers material from Chapters
8, 9, 10 and 11. The topics from Chapters 8 and 9 are all indicated in the
review provided above.
* Chapter 8 – about 15% of the questions, roughly 10

* Chapter 9 – about 15% of the questions, roughly 10
questions
* Material from Chapters 10 and 11, all sections discussed in class
(see review above). You should expect roughly 40 questions to be on these
chapters, only on topics discussed in class or assigned as ‘to be read’
by class.
