In order to assess the primary location of Census tracts in Queens, NY, several steps were required. In order for these steps to be carried out, the following conditions were assumed:
1. School age children are ages 6 to 11
2. All children in the age cohort attend only the school located in their census tract. They will not cross tract boundaries.
3. The Elementary Schools given all service the same population
4. The Census data provided is the most current for this population
5. There hasn't been an increase nor decrease in population since the Census data was collected
6. The population lives evenly distributed throughout the Census Tracts
7. The existence of highways and public transportation do not influence the location of the population within the Census tract.

Some of these assumptions resulted in limitations of the analysis. The Census data provided lacks documentation as to the accuracy and collection time of the data. In addition, the elementary schools lack identifiers (i.e., school number, name, etc.), which made it impossible to determine the age of the population served by these schools. With more accuracy in the model, a more thorough analysis could be done.

Below is are the output maps created for the analysis. For a full description, please see the hard copy sumitted in class.
