Biological Classification

  • Method of scientific taxonomy or classification used to group and categorize organisms into groups such as genus and species. The groups are known as taxa (singular: taxon)

    • Animals
    • Protozoa - have a nucleus and are a single cell

    • Bacteria - found in most habitats on the planet including extreme environments
