Welcome
The GIS Support Services For Students web site consists of a variety of information and resources related and relevant to GIS, cartography, and remote sensing. Students interested in more hands-on exercises in GIS may work through some Tutorials. Students needing to acquire data for projects will find numerous data sites listed on the Data page. Additionally, students can find out what free data is available from the Geography Department for their use. The Jobs page contains links to some of the most commonly used job search sites, and general information and advice about jobs, careers, and salary. Students can also find some links to books, software, and readings on the Free Resources page. This site will be updated regularly, so visit often!
