Downloading SSH for Remote Access to Your Unix Account

SSH allows you to log onto your Unix account and has an SFTP
client so you can download/upload files between your home PC
and your Department account.

SSH Communications Security provides a free SSH program you
can download and install on your Windows PC.

Procedure to download:

Click on the link below.
SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9.exe

Once you have the file downloaded, install on your PC.

Using SSH

Once SSH is installed on your PC, start the program and click
on "Quick Connect."  A "Connect to Remote Host" dialog box
appears. In the Host Name space you can use either the Fully
Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), earth.geo.hunter,cuny.edu or
earth's IP address, 146.95.2.5.

In the User Name space type in your Unix account user name.
