Unix/Linux File Editor: Pico is a Unix/Linux file editor that only inserts the characters you choose, no formatting commands are inserted as in Microsoft Word or Adobe WordPerfect. Pico is a very simple editor. Check out this web link for a tutorial on using Pico.

To use pico you will log onto earth using SSH. You can disregard the section in the web tutorial called "Before you invoke Pico."
